stellar-logo-type.gifWhat would you do to make Stellar more useful?

Each Spring and Fall semester, a new version of the Stellar software provides new features and functionality, increased reliability, and an enhanced user experience. With each release Stellar course management system becomes more fully integrated with the MIT enterprise infrastructure, as well as with other educational initiatives.

If you are a Stellar user, please take five minutes to fill in this survey. It may take only a few minutes of your time, but your input can influence future development and make Stellar a better and more useful tool for you.

Comments

I set up a Stellar web site for hst.721 fall 2005. I have a few comments about the process:

* It takes very long to upload documents one-by-one if there are dozens of documents (papers, problem sets, questions, resources, etc). It would be extremely useful if you could do a 'batch' upload of ALL class material at once. After that, you could edit the details of each document (what topic, submission date, etc). Even better, if you could do all the edits on your local machine first (so they would be really fast), and then upload all the edits to the Stellar site.

* I find it annoying to have a default 'checked' option for when documents are last posted and by whom.

Otherwise, its a great initiative. It allows a relatively fast setting up of a class website. Its a great idea to provide discussion forums and RSS feeds. Keep it up!

Hi Erik. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I'll make sure that they are passed along to the Stellar developers.
